Photographer & Cinematographer based in Venice, CA

Born in Paris but raised on the beach, Martin Runel is a French Photographer, DP & Camera Operator. 

He has spent the majority of his life traveling; this constant movement and his desire to seek out genuine human stories is what compels him to photograph authentic people in timeless places any chance he gets. 

Martin moves seamlessly between still photography and motion work, contributing to TV, live-action commercials, and feature films. His approachable, collaborative spirit makes him a trusted partner on set, while his natural curiosity helps him capture raw, genuine moments with his 1952 medium format film Rolleifllex camera. 

When not working, you can find him surfing, tuning his ukelele, road tripping, or photographing the people and the places that inspire him.
